HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA

Data Handling, Cookies and Account Security at h0w

We apply layered security across every stage of your data's life on h0w — from the moment you enter your details on the registration form to the point where an old account…

Encryption at Rest and in Transit

Every piece of personal data stored in our systems is encrypted using AES-256. Data moving between your device and our servers travels over TLS 1.3, so your account credentials and payment references are protected at every hop.

Cookie Use and Your Choices

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep your session active and analytics cookies to understand how the lobby is navigated. You can manage analytics cookies from the cookie banner or your browser settings at any point without affecting your account access.

Account Security Practices

Two-factor authentication is available on every h0w account. When you log in from a new device, we send a one-time code to your registered mobile number before granting access, reducing the risk of unauthorised entry to your profile.

Data Retention Schedule

Active account data is held for as long as your account remains open. Once an account is closed, transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable financial regulations, after which they are securely deleted from our systems.

Who Has Access Inside h0w

Access to personal data within our team is role-restricted. Only staff whose function requires it — such as verification, fraud review and customer support — can view your records, and every access event is logged for audit purposes.

How to Request Changes or Deletion

You can request a correction to any stored detail or ask for full account deletion via the Privacy Centre in your account or by emailing our privacy team. We will confirm identity before making changes, and send a completion notice once done.

Frequently Asked Questions About Your Data

These are the questions we hear most often when it comes to how h0w collects, stores and manages personal data. If your question is not answered here, our privacy team is reachable via live chat or email.

We collect your name, email address, mobile number and a government-issued ID reference for verification. When you deposit via UPI, Paytm or PhonePe, only the transaction reference ID is stored on our side — not your full payment credentials.

We do not sell your data to any third party. We share only what is necessary with payment processors such as UPI networks, Paytm and PhonePe to complete transactions, and with fraud-prevention partners under strict data-processing agreements.

Transaction and identity records are held for the period required by applicable financial and anti-fraud regulations after closure. Non-essential data such as device logs is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Yes. Log into your account and use the Privacy Centre to submit a data access request, or email our privacy team directly. We will compile and deliver a structured copy of your records within 14 days of verifying your identity.

Submit a deletion request through the Privacy Centre tab in your account or send an email to our privacy address. After we confirm your identity, we process the deletion and send a written confirmation once your data has been removed from our systems.

We use session cookies that are essential for keeping you logged in, and optional analytics cookies that help us see which parts of the lobby are used most. You can switch analytics cookies off at any time from the cookie preference panel without losing account access.

We review this policy periodically. When we make a material change — such as a new category of data being collected — we notify you by email and display a notice in your account dashboard before the change takes effect, so you have time to review it.
